Yellow Dock Festival was Held for the First Time in Armenia
On June 29, Vardenik community of Gegharkunik region hosted the yellow dock festival. This kind of festival was held for the first time in Armenia.

The founder of "My Step" and "City of Smile" Foundation Anna Hakobyan was present at the festival. She cut the ribbon and started the festival.

During the festival, the attendees were introduced to the technology of cooking and growing this plant, as well as tasted the dishes prepared from it.

With the help of the participants, the world’s longest wicker yellow dock was woven, which was recorded in the Armenian Book of Records.

“Do not look for gold just under the mountains, gold grows on our mountains, and one of these gold is our yellow dock,” - said Artush Khachatryan, President of the Community Pulse NGO.

The exhibition-fair, which was held during the festival, also enabled entrepreneurs from Vardenik, surrounding communities and other Armenian communities to present their agricultural products.
